How to Measure for Crawl Space Doors

1. Cathmer doors should be installed directly to the foundation wall (rough opening), so please measure the rough foundation opening and not existing wood or metal frame. The frame should be removed prior to install. 
2. Take two measurements for the Width, provide the SMALLER of the two.
3. Take two measurements for the Height, provide the SMALLER of the two. 
4. Make a note if anything comes within 3 inches of the opening and provide us the measurement as to how close the obstacle is to the opening such as:
• The ground being within 3 inches of the bottom, for example the ground is level with the bottom opening.
• Siding being within 3 inches of the top of the opening, for example the siding is 1 5/8 inches of the top opening.
• Pipes, electrical, wall, or other being within 3 inches of the left or right side, for example a wall is 1 ¼ inches from the left side of the opening.
5. Take a picture of the entire opening and make sure the picture includes the entire opening and surrounding 6 inches of the opening.
