Door Measurements & Recommended Openings

All listed sizing refers to the largest recommended rough opening.

For example, our 24" x 36" overlay door is designed to fit any openings smaller than 24" x 36". To ensure a proper fit, the opening must have at least 3.5 inches of clearance on all sides.

This ensures your door fits correctly, functions smoothly, and allows for easy installation.

Quick clarification:

  • Listed Size → Advertised size
  • Recommended Rough Opening Size → Suggested maximum size of the access opening
  • Door Opening → The usable opening space
  • Outside Frame → Total unit size including frame (what sits against the wall)

If you’re planning an install, the outside frame is what you’ll compare to your available wall space, while the door opening tells you how much clearance you actually get through the door. 


What is included

All hardware ships in your package! The door comes ready to install with weather stripping already installed, door handles with screws, and white tap con screws for install.

What do I need for install

All you need for install is a drill, a 5/16 masonry bit for pilot holes, and an exterior grade silicone around the edge.

PVC Care Instructions

PVC is made for exterior conditions. Cleans with soap & water. Painting with dark colors and in direct sunlight can cause door to attract heat. Recommend only painting with specialty PVC paint.
